Winter Park Wedding at Lunch Rock

Want a dazzling mountaintop wedding in Colorado but prefer something a little more down-to-earth than Vail or Beaver Creek? Located at over 11,000 feet, this is the perfect wedding location for adventurous couples looking to wow their guests. This Winter Park wedding venue offers up quintessential Colorado beauty all around every corner. Mountain peaks, pine trees, wildflowers in the summer. Even a scenic gondola ride to witness it all. At only an hour and a half from Denver, Lunch Rock wedding venue is a wonderful choice for your mountaintop wedding. As a Colorado wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of mountain wedding venues. This one is absolutely up there at the top of my list.

Early Summer Wedding in Winter Park

M + K decided on Lunch Rock at Winter Park Resort primarily because of their fondness for mountain biking. The trails at Winter Park were near and dear to their hearts. M got ready in at a rental in town, not too far from the resort. And K got ready in a spacious condo within the resort itself.

It was an absolutely glorious day in early summer, and unsurprisingly, the weather had a mind of its own. But the bride and groom and kept their smiles and embraced some rain (and even some hail!) and enjoyed the truly beautiful day. A day filled with so many laughs and hugs and grins and tears. Speaking of tears, I literally let out a little sob as I photographed their ceremony. I couldn’t help it! They each had some of the most beautifully-written vows I’d ever heard. And I’ve heard a lot!

The reception was an absolute dream. Look at that beautiful floral installation above the head table! And be sure to check out the end of this blog post for a list of wonderful vendors.

And here’s another shoulder season wedding (hello late snowfall!) if you’re looking for more Colorado wedding inspo.
