NORA LOGUE
PHOTOGRAPHER behind ROWAN + BIRCH | she/her
I love stories. When I was younger, I would stay up until the early hours of the morning to read. Under my covers with a flashlight, or tip-toeing past the rooms of my sleeping siblings to go to the basement, I wanted more time to devour tales—tales of magic, of love, of adventure. For the longest time, I aspired to be an author so I too could fill people’s hearts with beautiful stories.
Today, I may not be a writer, but I do believe whole-heartedly that my work as a photographer is one of a story-teller, and your stories are the ones I get to tell in colour and light and motion.
I am a lover of sad music, of light (and shadows), of coffee shops, and pups. I want to sit across from you at my dining room table or on a hammock in the forest and exchange favourite quotes and songs and poems. When I was a child, my mother had to force me to go outside. These days, you have to force me to go in. I feel most myself when surrounded by open space and fresh air.
Through my photography, I strive to capture the beauty of everyday moments: the golden hours, the quiet revelations, the uniqueness in every soul in front of my lens. I long to capture the different seasons of the earth as well as the different seasons within ourselves.
**All are welcome in front of my lens.
Love is love here.
