M + S had a clear vision for their elopement and it SHOWS. Their Grand Lake wedding was stuffed to the brim with friends and laughter and joy and an unapologetic approach to what it means to celebrate a union.
It was a bluebird, October morning in Grand Lake, Colorado. The cabin these two rented fit most of their guests (close friends and family) and I was invited in whole-heartedly to document the day. There’s something so refreshing and easy about capturing a wedding that’s been paired down to the closest and most intimate of guests. It’s such an honor to be a part of.
The bride and groom got ready amongst friends. The bride’s sister did an amazing job doing makeup AND braiding the groom’s hair. Guests got ready together and helped one another with finishing touches while also setting up the ceremony site and lending a hand where needed. It was a beautiful, joint effort all around. And having everything take place at the cabin made for such ease.
