A Botanic Gardens Wedding | Denver Wedding Photographer

As a Denver wedding photographer, the Denver Botanic Gardens are a dream venue to photograph a wedding. Bursting with beautiful vignettes around every corner, it’s a photographer’s dream. I’ve gushed about this place before and I’ll keep doing it, I promise. There’s just so much to love about this dreamy wedding venue in the heart of the city.

Annuals Garden and Pavilion Wedding Ceremony

Annuals Garden and Pavilion Wedding

For this delightful, October event, I found myself in a new part of the Gardens I hadn’t yet photographed: the Annuals Garden and Pavilion. With a covered pavilion surrounded by lush flowers and greenery, it’s a lovely location within the Botanic Gardens for a wedding ceremony and reception. Depending on capacity, you could have just your ceremony here (which is what this lovely couple did) and a reception elsewhere in the gardens (the couple had their reception in the beautiful Orangery). Or perhaps both, with a flipping of the space.

Capacity

Seated theater style under the pavilion – 200 guests

Seated reception under the pavilion – 120 guests

Standing reception – 250 guests

*Capacity can vary based on set-up.

More from this Denver Garden Wedding

J + M were such a dream to photograph. When we first talked on the phone, before they even booked me, it was very important to them that they were able to be totally present during their wedding day. Photos were important to them, they said, but not at the expense of being with their loved ones and truly experiencing the day as it unfolded. I took that to heart.

I don’t want couples to feel that their wedding is just one big photoshoot. I desperately want my clients to be as present as possible. That’s why I strive to document the day as it unfolds, looking for beautiful moments of love and connection as they happen. Wedding days are overflowing with these moments, big and small. If couples allow themselves room to breathe and let the day happen as it will, going along for the ride, there’s an abundance of emotive imagery to capture without fabricating a single thing.

The best thing you can do for yourself if you want to be present on your wedding day? Hire an amazing wedding planner or coordinator! J + M originally weren’t intending to do this but soon decided, into the planning process, they need help. I sent along some recommendations and they landed on the lovely Brooke of Four O’Clock Events. You can’t go wrong with Brooke in your corner, looking out for your best interests and making sure your wedding day runs as smoothly as possible!

This day flowed so breezily and was so full of beauty and emotion. Take a look at this early fall Denver wedding below.
