A Morton Arboretum Elopement | Chicago Wedding Photographer
If you have ever gone to the woods with me, I must love you very much.
– Mary Oliver
How to make the most of your intimate wedding: take a long, unhurried walk in nature with the one you love, whether among the mountains or the trees. Is there a more perfect location for two nature lovers to commit to a lifetime together?
Almost two years ago, I + N reached out about photography for their October 10th, 2020 wedding. We attended the same tiny liberal arts college north of Chicago. The same college these two first laid eyes on one another ten years ago. The same college where both N and myself would major in Environmental Studies and take field trips to this very place to learn the Latin names of trees. A lifetime of events conspired to bring these two together on this day. I’m so grateful I was invited to capture it.
The Morton Arboretum in the fall. What more is there to say? Take a look at these photos and be prepared to gasp at the beauty and grandeur of a Chicago elopement in a place that these two hold dear.
And take a peak at another garden intimate wedding.
