A Red Earth Venue Wedding | Moab Wedding Photographer

Bride and groom strolling in Moab desert at Red Earth wedding venue, Utah wedding photographer.

As a Colorado wedding photographer, I’m only a few hours from Moab, Utah. It’s a stunning place, full of otherworldly landscapes or red rock and unfathomably large canyons. Whether you’re from Utah, Colorado, or beyond, Moab and the surrounding area are a unique place to gather to say, “I do”. As a Moab wedding photographer, it was such a delight photographing this beautiful day as a second shooter for Kyla Fear at the Red Earth Venue. With a touch of luxury and beauty in every direction, the Red Earth Venue is a lovely place to hold your Moab wedding.

With 360 degree views of the beautiful Utah desert, this oasis is a lovely place to gather for a wedding ceremony and reception. Set on 17 acres in the heart of red rock canyons, it’s a sight to behold. With large, glass windows in almost every bit of wall space, you’ll have great views while inside. Of course, you can also walk outside to the Iron Arches patio, a 2,300 square foot brick patio with four iron arches overhead, lighting and outlets. Have your ceremony on the patio or at the Desert Platform Site, an open bit of land with a 20x20 platform.

If you’re looking to have a Red Earth Venue wedding, you’ll need to book accommodation and/or a getting ready location elsewhere. Thankfully, Red Earth Venue is located within an easy 10 minute drive of the town of Moab.

The couple below got ready separately at Airbnbs in town and had a first look before venturing together to the wedding venue. We arrived to beautiful tablescapes indoors setup and ready for the night’s festivities. You’ll need to take a look at the beautiful decor below!

Where to take photos before or after Red Earth Venue Wedding

If you want to venture further from the venue for your portraits either on the same day as the wedding or the day before or after, the Utah desert is teeming with absolutely breathtaking views.

Dead Horse Point State Park

Only about 30 minutes from Moab and the Red Earth Venue, Dead Horse Point SP is home to some of my favorite views in the area. Gather here for sunrise or sunset on or after your wedding day for some private moments with your partner in this glorious location.

Dead Horse Point State Park expansive canyon views.

Arches National Park

Only a few minutes down the road between Red Earth Venue and Moab, this national park is a stunning array of red rock and natural formations. Visit Arches at sunrise or sunset for an endless playground of beautiful backdrops for portraits with the one you love.

Don’t have time to go elsewhere for photos? No problem. The Red Earth Venue is perfectly beautiful in its own right and you’ll get lots of amazing photos for your Moab wedding in one place. Take a look at the wedding below to see what the Red Earth Venue has to offer.
