A Joyful Downtown Chicago Wedding | St. Michael in Old Town and Salvage One
When J + M reached out about their wedding, I pretty much lost my cool when they mentioned the reception would be at Salvage One in Chicago. I straight up replied with, “it’s been a DREAM of mine to photograph at Salvage One since I started shooting weddings. Not to drop a pressure bomb on you, but suffice it to say, I am interested.” I’m surprised I didn’t scare them off with that response.
I don’t reside in Chicago any more but that doesn’t mean I don’t love going back. This city is full to bursting with gems and this venue is one of them. Of course, it doesn’t hurt when the couple that hires you is fun and kind and generous and all around wonderful. Salvage One is a stunner but it wouldn’t have been half as lovely without these two present. And with a luxurious morning at the stunning Publishing House BnB followed by a beautiful catholic ceremony at the jaw dropping St. Michael’s in Old Town and portraits in Lincoln Park, these two had one lovely day indeed surrounded by joyful friends and family.
